What each facility is really like

Outdoor pool edged with river stones, palms and a parasol, a karst peak rising above the garden

Outdoor · Unheated · Free

The pool

A garden pool with loungers and parasols and the karst behind it, with a shallower section according to one tour operator. It is the place to be from May to September; in December and January the water is cold.

Worth it if you are here in the warm months and want a swim between outings. Skip it if you are visiting in midwinter and only want a warm soak — use the jacuzzi.

Sati Spa, sauna and jacuzzi

Sati Spa offers massages and body treatments; the sauna and jacuzzi are shared and free. Full Moon Villa guests get a 60-minute massage for two included, according to the resort.

Worth it if you have spent a day on bikes and boats. Skip it if you expect a large spa complex — this is a small garden spa.

Citronella Restaurant

Breakfast is a buffet with pho and an egg station; lunch and dinner are à la carte or set menus, using herbs and vegetables from the garden. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are on the menu.

Worth it if you want an easy dinner on arrival night. Skip it if you want local prices — family restaurants in town are cheaper.

Longan Bar and the bikes

Longan Bar works as the pool bar through the day. Bikes are free: tell the front desk the night before to keep one, and ask for a child seat in advance if you need it.

Worth it if you plan to cycle to Bich Dong or the Tam Coc wharf. Skip it if you need gears — some bikes have none.

Making the most of the facilities

01

Swim in the morning

The pool and loungers are quietest early, before guests come back from the boats around midday.

02

Book the spa when you arrive

Evening slots go first; book at the front desk on arrival rather than on the day.

03

Ask for the activity list

The cooking class with shrimp catching, the guided hike and the boat picnic are bookable extras; prices are not published.

Honest note

There is no gym, no kids’ club and no heated pool. Guests also find the food good but pricey compared with Tam Coc town, and a few mention bikes without gears.

Questions about facilities at Tam Coc Garden

Is the jacuzzi at Tam Coc Garden a natural hot spring?

No. Some listings say hot spring, but the resort describes a shared jacuzzi and a sauna, plus a private heated onsen in one room type. There is no natural thermal spring on site.

Can I join the cooking class at Tam Coc Garden?

Yes, as a paid extra. The class starts with catching shrimp in the stream and picking vegetables in the garden, then cooking them. Prices are not published; ask the front desk a day ahead.

Does Tam Coc Garden organize boat trips and tours?

The resort sells guided hikes, a boat picnic for two and multi-day tours into the region. For the standard Tam Coc or Trang An boats, you can also buy tickets yourself at the wharf.

Is laundry available at Tam Coc Garden?

Yes, laundry and ironing are paid services. The Family House has its own washer and dryer. Hand in laundry in the morning if you need it back the same day, and ask the price first.

Are there activities at Tam Coc Garden on a rainy day?

Yes: the spa, the sauna, the cooking class and the craft workshops (bamboo weaving, paper-making and fabric recycling) all happen under cover. The resort’s Garden Book, a guide to the plants around you, makes a quiet afternoon too.

Does Tam Coc Garden have a shop?

There is a small souvenir shop selling crafts. Prices are higher than in Tam Coc town, which has more choice of embroidery from Van Lam village.
